Can I do my White Card online in Queensland?

Yes, you can complete your White Card through Blue Dog Training’s live online Virtual Classroom (Zoom), but you must be physically located in Queensland. Fully self-paced online courses aren’t accepted in Queensland. You’ll be guided step by step by a qualified trainer and assessor, just as you would in a face to face session.

How much does a White Card cost in Queensland?

At Blue Dog Training, weekday morning White Card sessions in Queensland are $99. Prices for other sessions are shown when you select a session in the booking form. Queensland high school students pay $89, applied during enrolment with valid student details.

How long does the White Card course take in Queensland?

The course has a minimum nominal duration of 4.5 hours. Actual completion time may vary depending on your delivery method, class size and assessment requirements.

Is a Queensland White Card recognised in all Australian states?

Yes. Your Queensland White Card is nationally recognised once you’ve completed General Construction Induction Training, which is what this course covers. Whether you train with us in person in Brisbane, North Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Ipswich, Logan or the Sunshine Coast, or via live online Virtual Classroom (Zoom), your card is valid on construction sites anywhere in Australia.

What ID do I need for a White Card in Queensland?

You must show original identity documents before your training starts. The simplest option is one Queensland Government photo card issued by the Department of Transport and Main Roads, current or expired less than two years: a Queensland driver licence, industry authority, marine licence indicator, adult proof of age card or photo identification card. Your Queensland Digital Licence is accepted if it is shown live in the app.

If you don’t have one of these, you need three matching original documents: either one Category A and two Category B documents, or two Category A and one Category B document. At least one Category A document must show your full name and date of birth. Category A documents include an Australian birth certificate, an Australian or overseas passport, an Australian citizenship certificate and an Australian photo driver licence. Category B documents include a Medicare card, a debit or credit card with your name printed on it, and an interstate proof of age card.

A passport on its own is not enough. Photos and certified copies of documents are not accepted. Special arrangements apply for secondary school students, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, temporary overseas workers and New Zealand citizens. The full list of accepted documents is in the Queensland Government Evidence of Identity guide.

Can I use my QLD Digital Licence as one of my forms of identification?

Yes. For enrolment purposes, you can upload images or PDFs shared from the licence. However, when showing your QLD Digital Licence to your trainer on the day of your class, it must be displayed directly from the app with a current refresh date.

How old do you have to be to get a White Card in Queensland?

You must be at least 13 years old to complete the White Card course with Blue Dog Training in Queensland.

I have a Student Visa. Can I complete a White Card course in Queensland?

Yes. If you hold an eligible Student Visa, you can complete the CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry White Card course with Blue Dog Training. The same enrolment conditions apply, including that you must be physically located in Queensland at the time of your training and assessment.

When will I receive my White Card?

If you train in person, you will receive your Statement of Attainment and your White Card on the day you complete your training. If you train via live online Virtual Classroom (Zoom), you will receive your Statement of Attainment on the day, and your White Card is posted to you the next business day. If you have any questions in the meantime, please contact our team.

I’ve lost my White Card. How do I get a new one?

We can issue you a replacement White Card if you did your training with us originally or if you completed it through another RTO in Queensland, and you have a Statement of Attainment as evidence. To apply for a replacement card, visit Replacement White Cards.

I’ve lost my QLD Construction Blue Card, can I get a replacement?

If you have lost your previously issued Blue Card, it cannot be replaced. You will need to complete a White Card Course (CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry) and be issued with a new White Card.
