The White Card course is a mandatory requirement for anyone who wants to work in the construction industry
Enrol in one of our online White Card courses utilising Blue Dog Training’s Virtual Classroom.
Once you have successfully enroled you will receive a confirmation email including all the White Card learning resources and the details on how to connect to our virtual classroom using the ZOOM App.
10 minutes prior to your course you will receive another email/text message link to enter the White Card training via ZOOM. The class will start promptly thereafter.
NOTE: You may need to check your junk email folder in the event the email was flagged as junk.
Our qualified Trainers and Assessors will deliver the White Card course over the ZOOM App, streaming live to you and other learners. You will be able to interact with the Trainer and other course participants.
To complete the assessment learners are required to verify their identity and meet Work Health and Safety’s ID requirements - View the ID requirements here

Once the assessment and verification is complete, you can access your Statement of Attainment (with your White Card number) online. The Statement of Attainment is proof of having completed a White Card course and can be used to gain access to construction sites. Your White Card will be posted the next business day.

Our White Card course can be completed in full using the ZOOM App. The course is held via Connected Real Time Delivery in a live, virtual classroom to ensure the quality delivery of our training materials in a fully interactive environment.
We hold frequent White Card training sessions throughout the week including Saturdays. The starting times and availability of all our sessions can be viewed by following any of the enrol buttons on this page.
All White Cards are nationally recognised in each state of Australia.
The nominal hours identified for this unit of competency is six (6) hours. With competency-based training if a learner already has defined skills knowledge and experience a reduced amount of training may be enough to ensure they fully absorb the required knowledge and gain the skills required for this unit of competency. This in turn is reflected in the learner’s progression rate through the unit of competency.
We can issue you a replacement White Card if you did your training with us originally or if you completed it through another RTO and you have a Statement of Attainment as evidence. Simply fill out our online replacement form.
If you have lost your previously issued Blue Card, it cannot be replaced. You will need to complete a White Card Course (CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry) and be issued with a new White Card. You can book a QLD White Card Course here.
After the successful completion of the online White Card course learners will have their White Card and Statement of Attainment issued the following working day. The statement of attainment will be emailed while the physical White Card will be posted to the address you provided.
Yes. A person holding an eligible Student Visa can complete the CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry ‘White Card’ course under the Education Services for Overseas Students (Exempt Courses) Instrument 2021 which came into effect on 29 June 2021. The conditions for student enrolment are the same as identified on the website including that students must be physically located in Queensland, Tasmania, or Western Australia at the time of their training and assessment.
Your White Card will not expire, however if you have been out of the construction industry for a period of two years or more you will need to redo the course.
