2009 - 2010 has been a very successful year for Blue Dog Training with large increases in the number of carpentry apprentices and the introduction of engineering. Now with over 1300 apprentices to choose from the trainers and Directors of Blue Dog Training had a great deal of difficulty coming up with one nomination for the State Training Awards in the category of Apprentice of the Year. Blue Dog offers White Cards but no white flag

Last Saturday night Team Blue Dog did battle for an action packed 30 minutes in the Ipswich Show's Demolition Derby. We finished 2nd again, however this time there were 28 cars involved. We were going for the win and being beaten by the Boonah Boys for the second year in a row shows just how tough their car is.

Blue Dog Training made its inaugural appearance at the Ipswich Show's "demolition derby" last year when Director Brad Deas survived the carnage to come a credible, Adrenalin-inspired second place. Brad and co-driver Pete Pollock reckoned they discovered the secret for survival from last year's experience and they have spent their spare time over the last couple of months preparing their "winning" vehicle for this year's event.

Record Rainfall across Queensland

The record rainfall experienced in the early part of the year has certainly had the farmers and gardeners smiling across the state. Unfortunately construction workers do not share the same enthusiasm. Wet days usually mean loss of valuable work time which can see projects falling behind and penalties needing to be paid.

Obviously confidence is returning to the marketplace with a record number of employers increasing their workforce in the New Year.
