QLD training community celebrates excellence

Last Friday's derby at the Royal International Convention Centre for the Queensland Training Awards was certainly a clash of the titans; as training heavy weights vied for the illustrious title of Queensland's best.  Chasing a third state title, Blue Dog went head-to-head with industry giants in a David and Goliath battle for recognition as Queensland's Large Training Provider of the Year.

Coming a close second in the nail biting final for the events largest award, Blue Dog Training was commended for their consistent contribution to the rapidly growing construction industry. A significant achievement, our acknowledgement at the same level of the entire TAFE QLD network highlights our concentrated effort to quality and service is difficult to match.  Confirming we're not only a leader in the market, but an expert in construction and engineering training.

Director Kris Andre said Blue Dog's unique, creative and values driven approach is the key to success. "To be acknowledged as a state finalist in the training awards is a great achievement. To be nominated as a finalist for the third time is even better! It's testament to our consistent approach to providing the very best learning experience for our White Card clients and apprentices, and tangible outcomes for our employers".

Training and Skills Minister, Yvette D'Ath congratulated all finalists on the achievement, a testament to the quality of training they provide. "Tonight celebrates all that is best about VET in Queensland", she said, adding that training not only changes lives but "trade training is just as valuable as a University degree".

Now in it's 54th year, renowned author, television presenter and African Jungle favourite Andrew Daddo hosted the action packed event; acknowledging the training provider finalists as "the folks changing Queensland".  With stellar entertainment from top-shelf performers Genrah and KICK our team certainly enjoyed the atmosphere.

Director Brad Deas said the event was a great opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the hard work of the Blue Dog team. "Tonight is the biggest night of training in Queensland. While it's great to have Blue Dog acknowledged as one of the best training providers, it's also a great opportunity to celebrate and enjoy the festivities with our team, who have all contributed to our nomination as a finalist".

From the entire team at Blue Dog, a hearty congratulations to all nominees and winners of the 2015 Queensland Training Awards.
