Happy New Year

Published to Our Community on Jan 02, 2013

Following a successful 2012 Blue Dog Training is looking forward to an exciting 2013. We are pleased to announce that since starting to train apprentices in 2005 we have now assisted just over 1400 people to complete their apprenticeships in carpentry, boiler making, diesel fitting and fitting and turning.

After speaking with many employers who use Blue Dog Training to assist with the training of their apprentices many are expecting an increase in building and engineering works this year which will in turn mean an increase the number of people able to start their apprenticeships. If our construction and engineering industries are to grow, or at least be sustained, it is important that industry continues to train apprentices now for the future.

An increase to the incentive amount paid by the Federal Government for some trades will also encourage employers to start apprentices. Blue Dog Training also has funding available for skills assessments in Carpentry and Boiler making; for more information on what needs to happen to sign up an apprentice, what the requirements of a skills assessment with Blue Dog Training are or how we provide apprenticeship or white card short course training give us a call on 07 3166 3900.

All the best for 2013.
