Committed to making a difference in the community, Blue Dog Training donates a percentage of their profits each year.  Today Blue Dog Training donated $5000 to the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section), to help support the amazing work that they do across the state.

The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) is one of the largest and most comprehensive aeromedical organisations in the world, providing extensive primary health care and 24-hour emergency service to people over an area of 7.3 million square kilometres.  In Queensland, the RFDS currently operates from nine bases, providing aeromedical services as well as delivering a broad range of health care programs including general practice, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, child and family health, social and emotional wellbeing, women’s health, oral health and health promotion activities.

Blue Dog provides training to many businesses across Queensland, and has begun training in many areas that the RFDS operates in.  Motivated by the desire to give back to these remote communities Blue Dog Directors, Kris Andre and Brad Deas are confident that the RFDS will continue having a positive impact within remote and rural areas of Queensland.

“Queensland is a big state, with many Australians living, working and travelling in remote locations” Kris said.  “We hope that our donation to the RFDS will make a difference, and support the essential services that they provide to these Queenslanders every day.”

The Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) spokesperson Lynda Inglis thanked Blue Dog Training for their donation to keep the Flying Doctor flying.  “It’s wonderful that Blue Dog Training’s clients chose to support the RFDS through this initiative, as many tradespeople from  the construction industry work in regional, rural and remote locations throughout Queensland” Mrs Inglis said.

The Flying Doctor relies heavily on fundraising and donations from businesses and the wider community to purchase and aeromedically fit-out aircraft, purchase vital medical equipment and enhance their operational facilities.  If you wish to donate, or want to know more about the great work they are doing please visit their website www.flyingdoctor.org.au.
