2008 CSQ Excellence Awards Nominations

Published to Our Community on Sep 15, 2008

Blue Dog Training has experienced rapid growth and phenomenal success in the last two years. Reflecting on this time, the directors at Blue Dog realise that their success has been built on a quality product delivered with exceptional customer service. In its short history Blue Dog have built up a solid history of industry recognition including:

2006
BCTIF Award for Innovation in Training
2007
Queensland Training Award for Private Training Provider of the Year
2007
Finalists National Training Award for Private Training Provider

In 2008, Blue Dog have decided that it is time for the real stars of their business to get a chance to shine. A series of meetings of all the trainers at Blue Dog found it very difficult to nominate their outstanding students with over 1000 apprentices currently in training with Blue Dog. After much deliberation the following nominations for the Construction Skills Queensland Excellence Awards were agreed upon.

Construction Apprentice of the Year
Michael Bruton
Construction Indigenous Person of the Year
Joel Blanco
Construction Female of the Year
Debbie White
Construction School student of the Year
William Kickbusch

The stories of the nominees have much in common. They are all:

  • really enjoying their work
  • enjoying the satisfaction of a job well done
  • obsessive about attention to detail on the job
  • focused on the customers needs
  • looking forward to long and successful careers in the construction industry

The Directors and staff at Blue Dog Training wish all our nominees every success in the upcoming CSQ Excellence Awards. Whether they win or not on the night we all agree that they are already winners and certainly great assets to the construction industry.
