Since starting delivery of apprenticeship training in 2005 Blue Dog Training has proven itself as the training organisation of choice when it comes to delivering quality outcomes for Apprentices, Employers and Industry. Our systems have been developed by tradies for tradies, it is site based and each Apprentice or student has one contact point within Blue dog to support you through the process from start to finish.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)has long been considered a painful task but if you have the skills we’ll provide the assistance and remove the hassle that is associated with RPL.
The difference between Blue Dog’s Mature-age Apprenticeship Program and other mature age programs is credit is given up front for any existing skills then gap training is provided as and when it suits you and your workplace - there is no block release and we have a 93% completion rate. The duration of the apprenticeship depends on the individual, a training plan is developed around the apprentices current skills encouraging the apprentice to progress at a rate comfortable to them.
Wages are often a concern for people starting apprenticeships, it is important to note that as an apprentice do not have to be paid minimum wage and the duration of the apprenticeship depends on the skills and knowledge of the apprentice. Skills Assessments may also be an option.
Blue Dog Trainings Mature-age Apprenticeship Program and Skills Assessments are available for the following trades: Boilermakers, Diesel Fitters, Fitters & Turners, Mechanical Fitters, Sheet metal workers, Machinists, Fabricators, Carpenters and Concreters.
