Blue Dog Training is still the leader in the delivery of white card training in Australia. Blue Dog has always attributed its success to cutting edge IT systems and more importantly its customer service.
This customer service has been further enhanced by the addition of a new carpentry apprentice trainer Kerry Theuerkauf. Kerry was one of the first apprentices to be completed by Blue Dog Training back in 2007.
Kerry started his career as a cable technician during the initial roll out phase of pay television. Kerry always wanted to be a tradesman and when an opportunity came up Kerry started as a mature aged carpentry apprentice. His apprenticeship was largely in the south east corner of Queensland and involved the building of commercial property and architecturally designed homes.
On completion of his apprentice Kerry stayed with his builder for a number of years before establishing his own subcontracting business specialising in renovations and extensions.
Kerry has been involved in Rugby League for many years both as a player and a coach. Kerry has played in the Queensland Cup competition as well as in clubs at a regional level. Kerry has also coached a number of teams including local and representative sides such as the Ipswich Diggers A Grade and Under 18 Mal Meninga Cup sides. Recently Kerry has been the Assistant Coach of the South East Queensland A grade open team.
Director Brad Deas welcomed Kerry to Blue Dog saying that his experience will bring a unique perspective to the team knowing firsthand what it is like to be a Blue Dog apprentice. Brad went on to say that Kerry’s experience as a rugby league coach and player meant that he had a great ability to get the very best performance out of apprentices as well as an in depth knowledge of the importance of team work in both a training situation as well as on the job.
Blue Dog congratulates Kerry on his appointment and wishes both Kerry and his apprentices a successful journey on the way to achieving their goals of making quality tradesmen.
