Bob the Builder Welcomes Eric the Engineer

Blue Dog Training is proud to announce that on December 11 an audit was successfully completed by then Department of Education Training and the Arts to allow BDT to deliver accredited training in the area of Engineering. This has followed a year of planning, development and sheer hard work on the part of the Blue Dog team and especially Grant Mills who has been the driving force behind the project.

Wet Weather Doesn't Soak System

The wet weather this week saw Blue Dog Training's online Apprentice Training platform deliver training to record numbers of apprentices. At one time up to 138 apprentices were accessing the system.

User Choice allows employers, together with their apprentices and/or trainees to negotiate directly with registered training organisations to arrange quality accredited training to meet their specific needs. Employers and their apprentices can choose which training organisation they want to deliver to their apprentices.

600 School Students Start Construction Training

More than 600 school students in over 40 schools are using the Blue Dog Training online resources to obtain a Certificate 1 in Construction while at school in the Doorways 2 Construction Structured Workplace Learning Course.

New BDT Website

Our main website has been long overdue for a redesign and we are proud to announce our brand new website. Though the new layout may seem dauntingly different to the previous one, we hope the changes are for the better in terms of usability and function. Our biggest goal in redesigning the site was to make it easier for the public to find out more about us and what we do.

After winning the Queensland Private Training Organisation of the year, Blue Dog Training was shortlisted from all other winners from other states to be one of three finalists in the prestigious 2007 Australian Training Awards.

Blue Dog Training has been recognised as one of the state's best, taking out the Private Training Organisation of the Year award at the annual Queensland Training Awards. Education and Training Minister Rod Welford said Blue Dog Training from Windsor was one of 11 awardees in the State Government's longest running awards program.
