A White Card is evidence that you have completed a General Construction Induction course/White Card course (previously known as the Blue Card, Red Card or Green Card course depending on your state). This course is mandatory for anyone who works, or wants to work, in the construction industry.
In the past White Card courses have been available to complete online, however state governments have recently been introducing stricter rules to prevent White Cards being issued for online courses.
Up until the 19th of July 2019, Western Australian's online White Card course could be completed by learners residing in any state. Changes made by The Department of Mines, Industry, Regulation and Safety Western Australia (DMIRS) now only allow their online course to be completed by learners residing in Western Australia.View DMIRS's website for more information.
At present only Western Australia and Tasmania allow their White Cards to be issued through online courses. These online courses can only be undertaken by current residents of the respective states e.g. to complete an online Western Australian White Card course you must be currently residing in Western Australia.
Queensland residents must attend a face to face White Card course to obtain a White Card. Western Australia Online White Card courses can no longer be undertaken by Queenslanders.

Western Australia & Tasmania
Residents of WA & TAS can still receive a White Card through an online course. To complete an online course and receive a White Card you must be currently residing in the corresponding State.
