The Working at Heights Awareness course is an introductory training resource that was designed to provide up-to-date knowledge for people who are required to work at heights. This course will ensure that participants learn the hazards associated with working at heights, and the operation of basic height safety equipment. It will also cover other necessary information about working at heights, including:
Snap hooks and karabiners
Mechanical lifting equipment
Inspection and maintenance requirements for equipment used for this type of work
Legislative requirements
Restraint/fall systems
Control measures
Ladders
Physical barriers
Lanyards
Working at heights - under two metres
This heights awareness course is helpful as a refresher, or to meet Work Health and Safety requirements, and is not the equivalent of a Working at Heights Licence. It is not an accredited course; however, it does provide the theory and underpinning knowledge for working at heights safely. On completion of this course you will be issued with a Statement of Completion.
