Completing a White Card course is mandatory to begin work on a construction site and covers on-site health and safety. Upon the successful completion of this course participants need to learn and retain the information provided to ensure they can keep themselves and others safe on site.

CSQ is an independent, not-for-profit, industry-funded body supporting employers, workers, apprentices, trainees and career seekers in the building and construction industry.
Under this funding you will be eligible to fully subsidised short course fees.
You may be eligible for this funding if you have the right to work in Australia and are an Eligible Worker or Unemployed Eligible Worker in Queensland.
An eligible worker is an individual who is engaged to perform work in the building and construction industry for the majority of the person’s ordinary hours of work.
Before the funding is approved, all required evidence must be received by Blue Dog Training prior to enrolment.

Our White Card course can be completed in full using the ZOOM App. The course is held via Connected Real Time Delivery in a live, virtual classroom to ensure the quality delivery of our training materials in a fully interactive environment.
We hold frequent White Card training sessions throughout the week including Saturdays. The starting times and availability of all our sessions can be viewed by following any of the enrol buttons on this page.
All White Cards are mutually recognised in each state of Australia.
The nominal hours identified for this unit of competency is six (6) hours. With competency-based training if a learner already has defined skills knowledge and experience a reduced amount of training may be enough to ensure they fully absorb the required knowledge and gain the skills required for this unit of competency. This in turn is reflected in the learner’s progression rate through the unit of competency.
We can issue you a replacement White Card if you did your training with us originally or if you completed it through another RTO and you have a Statement of Attainment as evidence. Simply fill out our online replacement form.
Yes. A person holding an eligible Student Visa can complete the CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry ‘White Card’ course under the Education Services for Overseas Students (Exempt Courses) Instrument 2021 which came into effect on 29 June 2021. The conditions for student enrolment are the same as identified on the website including that students must be physically located in Queensland, Tasmania, or Western Australia at the time of their training and assessment.
After the successful completion of the online White Card course learners will have their White Card and Statement of Attainment issued the following working day. The statement of attainment will be emailed while the physical White Card will be posted to the address you provided.
Your White Card will not expire, however if you have been out of the construction industry for a period of two years or more you will need to redo the course.
