Overview

The Environmentally Sustainable Work Practices course has been designed to provide workers in the resources sector with important and up-to-date knowledge about sustainability related issues as they apply to the industry.

The course will cover 25 topics. These topics will range from alternate sources of energy, to identifying environmental issues in the workplace. Once participants have finished the course, they will confidently be able to:

  • Understand sustainability and how it applies in the workplace
  • Identify current resource use
  • Comply with environmental regulations
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency
  • Aim to minimise environmental risks and maximise environmental performance of organisations.
After completing each of the units, you will also have a final assessment to submit before you are awarded your certificate. Upon successful completion of the assessment and all units, you will receive a Statement of Attainment for the competency ‘MSAENV272B: Participate in Environmentally Sustainable Work Practices’, which is fully accredited and nationally recognised.

Course Duration Dependant on previous knowledge and experience, this course can take 2 to 4 hours to complete. Course delivery is self-paced, and you can start/stop at any time.
