Selection Criteria Blue Dog Training recommends you meet one of the following criterias:

  • Completed a Certificate III in Construction
  • High knowledge of construction with extensive job experience
  • Access to a computer, printer and internet
  • Adobe Acrobat Reader
  • A device which will allow you to take photographs

Course Program

The full course is offered as four clusters, designed to work through one by one; each cluster is made up of four to five units of competency. For each unit you will receive a learner resource designed to support your learning and knowledge development.

Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) offers funding for the Builder Low Rise course

For those eligible for the fully-funded qualification, individuals will contribute $1500 to the total course fee, which will then be completely refunded provided the course is completed within the funding period.

To be eligible for CSQ funding, individuals must be:

  • an existing worker in the building and construction industry for one month or more; OR an unemployed worker who can provide proof of employment within the Building and Construction industry within the past 7 months
  • an Australian/New Zealand citizen or permanent resident of Australia (includes humanitarian entrant)
  • a permanent Queensland resident or permanently employed in Queensland

To be eligible for CSQ funding, individuals must NOT be:

  • a 1st or 2nd year apprentice
  • an employee of any authority
  • currently enrolled and participating in a school program
  • contracted trainers and assessors or existing workers of any RTO
  • previously funded under this CSQ funding Program for this course
  • previously completed this qualification
