Overview
Blue Dog Training assists people throughout Australia to advance their career with a Builder’s Licence.
With quality training services, we provide the necessary technical qualifications for Low Rise Builder (QLD), Builder (NSW) and restricted builder licence classes.
Our self-paced assessment process is flexible and completed in your own time, providing an alternative pathway to obtaining your builders licence. The course must be completed within twelve months, but on average the course is completed within six months. You will be supported by your assessor through the assessment process.
You can commence this qualification at any time through the year. On successful completion, you will receive a full or partial qualification from the CPC40110 - Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building) training package. This is a nationally recognised course that is eligible for government funding and incentives dependant on your circumstances.

CSQ Funding
Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) offers funding for this course. Eligible individuals will receive a full refund of the $1500 fee upon completion of the qualification within the 52 week period.
To be eligible for the CSQ funding, participants must be:
- an existing worker in the building and construction industry for one month or more; OR an unemployed worker who can provide proof of employment within the Building and Construction industry within the past 7 months
- an Australian/New Zealand citizen or permanent resident of Australia (includes humanitarian entrant)
- a permanent Queensland resident or permanently employed in Queensland
To be eligible for the CSQ funding, participants must NOT be:
- a 1st or 2nd year apprentice
- an employee of any authority
- currently enrolled and participating in a school program
- contracted trainers and assessors or existing workers of any RTO
- previously funded under this CSQ funding Program


- Course delivery is self-paced with a dedicated trainer
- Nationally Recognised qualification
- Government funding and incentives available
- Skype sessions available
